I think good things will come about. People will now realize, for instance, that while using their numerous Central Bank Digital Currencies, they do not have control like they do with Bitcoin. They won't have any choice over what they buy or sell since the government will always be watching them. Additionally, who you pay will be managed, and there is a significant chance of confiscation or punishment for "bad behavior" in the form of negative interest rate fees. When you compare CBDCs to bitcoin, you can see that nothing will change for bitcoin unless people are made to use them because it will always be preferred by those who understand it.
