I was looking for a exchange based in US (much safer to trade with).
US based exchanges though are always hit with random red-tape and hoops to jump through, plus as far as anonymity goes I'm not that comfortable with the government having access to any and all logs regarding user activity.
Personally I prefer having an American company handle my American bank account. I don't care about being anonymous.

Coinbase and coinmkt are US based but they ID. You will be subject to taxes and scrutiny
