Γιατί ο Satoshi το έφτιαξε επίτηδες να είναι αποπληθωριστικό; Γιατί όχι ελαφρώς πληθωριστικό (όπως το XMR και ο χρυσός); Δεδομένου ότι ο πληθυσμός (σε φυσιολογικές συνθήκες) πάντα θα συνεχίσει να αυξάνεται, άρα θα χρειαστούμε και παραπάνω χρήμα...
Μα δεν είναι αποπληθωριστικό. Πληθωρίζεται σταθερά με "κοψίματα στο μισό" μέχρι το 2140. Ορίστε το annual inflation rate: https://www.lopp.net/bitcoinflation/. Αυτό που λες εσύ είναι το tail emission. Δεν σημαίνει απαραίτητα πληθωρισμός, και πιο σημαντικό: Δεν είναι σταθερός πληθωρισμός. Το block subsidy στο έτος 2050 του XMR δεν έχει το ίδιο inflation rate με το block subsidy στο έτος 2100, ακόμα κι αν είναι ίδιο (0.6 XMR), για τον απλό λόγο ότι στο 2100 θα υπάρχουν περισσότερα XMR στο circulation. Για να διατηρηθεί inflation rate X% που λες (δεδομένου ότι ο πληθυσμός αυξάνεται με σταθερό ρυθμό), δεν πρέπει να υπάρχει tail emission, αλλά να αυξάνεται σε κάθε block το block subsidy.
