This Thursday a key virtual hearing was held for the case that has the selection of Ecuador since Chili ensures that the player Tri Byron Castillo in reality he is Colombian and therefore should not have disputed any of the eight games who played in the playoffs.
FIFA must make a decision in the next 20 days.

So in 20 days, max October 5, we will know if Ecuador will participate or not the next World Cup.
If not, Chile will be the squad to occupy the spot, I suspect they are already preparing to play.

Oct 5 is only 46 days to the first game, coincidentally Ecuardor will play the first match.

I believe that, unfortunately, Ecuador should be eliminated from the World Cup.

To make matters worse, Byron Castillo decided not to attend the FIFA hearing that he may decide to exclude Ecuador, and this must have made FIFA even angrier.

I even agree that Chile and Peru may be creating a disproportionate controversy, but the absence of Bryon Castillo to clarify the facts is very poorly seen by all who accompany football.
This case is one I have been aware for a very long time and I think FIFA at the time had already decided that this was not a big issue, as it is customary with them, I wonder what has happened that it has brought this issue back to the table that now they need to take an urgent decision, personally based on what I know I think Ecuador should be disqualified from the World Cup, but since we are talking about FIFA I'm not so sure this is something that will actually happen.
