FIFA has rejected Chile's request to ban their South American opponents Ecuador from the World Cup, despite Chile's appeal, FIFA allowed Ecuador to participate in the Qatar World Cup and FIFA has confirmed Ecuador's presence at the tournament.

With evidence showing Byron Castillo was born in Colombia, Chile argued that Castillo was not eligible to play for Ecuador and called for action that would allow Chile to take Ecuador's place in the competition. The FIFA Appeals Committee, however, has ended the legal action brought against the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF).

Hehehe, as I said some hours before the announcement by FIFA.
It's so close to the world cup, Chile will continue to try, but at this point, we can conclude Ecuador will participate, the first match of World Cup will continue to be Qatar vs Ecuador.
Unfortunately all this problems will end at first stage, I think Netherlands and Senegal will classify to next rounds.

Just to end this post, read this:

In the 2018 World Cup qualifying group, Bolivia forfeited two games in which it fielded an ineligible player as a late substitute. FIFA got complaints from Chile and Peru about Bolivia defender Nelson Cabrera, who was born in Paraguay and had previously played for Paraguay.

Bolivia lost an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which said FIFA was right to investigate even when protests were filed weeks after the games were played.

That case ultimately harmed Chile. Three extra points awarded to Peru lifted it above Chile and into an intercontinental playoff that it won to advance to the 2018 tournament in Russia.

FIFA then wrote stricter rules for the 2022 World Cup requiring all players in qualifying games to produce a “valid permanent international passport” for inspection by match officials.

Something similar, but they are dealing in a different way.
