The Gunners have picked up their game and I'm excited to note that though they lost to Man United, they were able to get back up in their game with Brentford. In all honesty, I believe they are now capable of beating the likes of Tottenham, Man City and Liverpool.
The pattern of their ball play can be compared to Man United during 2007/2008 season. So precise and coordinated team and some will say it was since the club bought Gabriel Jesus and I think it's not far from the truth because you'd notice every of the players are now on their toes and it's even making Arteta's work easier.

I have to agree with you that Arsenal have improve there game play, since last season you will notice that they were a team that was ready to have the ball. But my biggest concern about Arsenal and why I am yet to tag them tittle contenders is because of lack of a leader in the team. You compared them to man united 2007/2008 squad but when you look at this team you will see leaders like Giggs, Paul Scholes and the veteran Vandersar. Leadership in a team helps when the team is down against big opponent, you will need an in-field leader to encourage the young lads, every young tittle winning team has had one or two but currently Arsenal is lacking a little bit in that area.
As for who has improved arsenal's game we only talk about Jesus but do we watch how Saliba has been solid at the back? For me he has also influenced Arsenal's game
