Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?
Responsible gamblers are those who can manage their money. They know how much to spend for it, high possibility they also have some funds for other things to spend. If you ask me, I wont spend my gambling funds to help the poor but I'll spend my other funds for them. If I have extra money, why should I choose between one of them. Even if I dont have extra money, I can simply split my gambling funds (50:50) or based on our own will or depends on the need. How if your gambling budget for a month is huge, lets say worth ten/hundred thousand dollar or even million. Will you spend them all to help the poor? Helping is nice, but we also need to be wise on how much to help them.
