Chelsea will not be fighting for the title this season. I don't even think Chelsea will qualify for the Champions League. Their biggest weakness is their attack. Chelsea players have scored only 8 goals in 7 matches. Manchester City scored 23 goals in 7 matches. Even Tottenham managed to score 18 goals in 7 matches. Chelsea's performance will not improve without the addition of talented players in the attack.
Chelsea has just changed their coach,I think we should give him some time before results will start to come.If these results do not start coming despite the new tactics that this coach will implement then there is only one possibility left for Chelsea to not lose a lot during this season and that time is the January window transfer, they should be very active and start since December if things do not go well during October (November is World Cup) and buy some good attackers where it looks like they are suffering the most.
Yes, it's too soon to draw conclusions because the Graham Potter era has just begun. He did fail to make a big debut, which Chelsea could only draw against Red Bull Salzburg but that doesn't mean Chelsea will continue to sink. As a new coach, it's obvious that he needs time to adapt so he can explore the potential that Chelsea has and the possibility to find the best composition of the squad. I think Graham Potter definitely has his own shopping list and if he is given full support in the upcoming transfer window, it was certain that he would make the best of the opportunity.
