I think that in the last 20-30 years in the history of gambling there have been quite strong changes that have significantly affected the very history of the development of these games.  The fact is that before the era of online games, rivals were almost always physically in close proximity to each other.  They could even quarrel and even fight if they saw the opponent's fraud.  All these features added an element of risk and excitement to the game.  But in online gambling, this is no longer the case.  And no one will give you a face if you suddenly began to cheat.  This is also why online scams are rampant.
And thus, as it were, a new page was opened in the history of the development of gambling.

Technology has ushered a new page in gambling and as the world progresses, more development would be implemented. In the case of proximity and fraud, apart being close and reacting when there is fraud, also computer algorithms have reduced the rate of fraud as many decisions are made by computer and are accurate, unless people deliberately wishes to alter it for their favour. Licensing can also reduce those abnormalities, that's why it's good to play with reputable and licensed casinos.
I still think that scammers are adapting to all the measures of their calculation on the network and are becoming more skillful and cunning.

And all the same, sitting at a computer, scammers cannot get in the face, so simply and without any centimeters. But in a game directly with an opponent, this is quite possible. And it can even be very painful. But even immediately it becomes very clear to you that you are wrong when you deceive your opponent.
I see in this a positive aura and karma from playing in the physical version.
To better understand the difference, imagine real boxing with opponents in the ring and compare with online boxing when no one gets hit.
And he gets only points and virtual knockouts. Smiley
