Trusted managers are not the 100% indicator that you either get paid or get a good payment. Remember that managers still have the choice to stop the campaign once it was brought to light that the project was a scam. Imagine working for 3 months, but then the BM stopped the campaign due to a lot of scam accusation that was brought by the scam busters here. People should still do the usual "DYOR" before hopping into something regardless of who is in the authority of the whole thing.
But choosing projects with highly trusted managers will still be an edge because they could warn their participants if a project has a possibility of turning into a scam. Doing continuous research even after being chosen as a participant is also necessary because any unexpected things could happen in an instant. There are still lots of trusted projects nowadays but we should still be wise in choosing because scam projects already know how to trap their victims. It's also disappointing to exert effort and not get paid accordingly in the end.
