Yeah and that is the hard part of it.
And I guess it's boils down on need vs want. Because this is one of the most difficult decision to do in terms of your money. You can right everything down and says that you are not going to buy things, nevertheless if you do out and see items like clothes or something, then before you buy it, you have to think if you really need it or just want a new clothes.
As far as emergency fund, there are books that says at least 6 months, so that's what I do, 6 months of buckets save and I'm not touching it unless it is really very important.
exactly! very few people can even achieve item #1, let alone #5.

unless, you have good job earning above your monthly expenditures. i believe also is as long as you are keeping your budget within your means and at least save a lil bit for rainy days, that's more than enough. but targeting those money rules pointed out by OP, even if you are not financially capable would just give you mental stress.
