The single main reason we lose at gambling is our lack of self-control. We cannot stop ourselves from gambling and gamble constantly and sometimes panic and gamble. Due to which our losses in gambling are more than our gains. And this addiction takes a more dangerous form when it comes to gambling. Which destroys a person's life instantly
I do understand it though, I would never blame anyone for making a mistake and not having self control. It's really not that easy. I am not saying that you should not have it, of course try to limit it and I have been doing that for many years now, but I remember my very early days gambling and I didn't had it neither.
I lost way more than I should, definitely put my finances at risk, just so I could earn it back, and it was a horrible period in my life. I fixed it, by self control. So, I would never tell anyone that they are doing a wrong thing and should be ashamed or something, I would say we all make mistakes, we are humans and every human makes a mistake, it's important to realize the mistake and learn from it.
I also encountered a person in my life who was always looking for where to borrow money.
At first I thought that he became a drug addict and he needed drugs. But then I found out that all he borrowed was losing gambling in the casino. And it became easier for me, because I finally found out that he was not a drug addict, but just a gambler. However, this disease is also very dangerous and can drive you crazy. But, Glory to the Almighty, this friend of mine managed to improve and has now stopped playing, has become an exemplary family man and everything is fine with him. But all of us, his acquaintances, now never talk about this enduring passion when he is with us. And of course we don't gamble when he's around.
