Nonsense. Do you think someone who won a lottery would care whether any of his/her skills were involved? End result is all that matters at the end of the day.

Lol. Seriously? They would have to compensate many participants in that case which wouldn't make sense for them from a financial standpoint. Also, you are forgetting the fact that you don't lose anything from these forum contests since they are free to enter.
They could compensate some of the losers on the site though depending on the amount that they wagered.
