Even if Lewandowski stayed at Bayern, it would not change the problem that the club would be forced to deal with the problem of his departure. Well, if he left a year or two later (due to age) - I don’t see any fundamental differences. Top clubs solve the problem of leaving their stars in advance, for example, Real got rid of Ronaldo long before he passed his peak (or at least an acceptable level of play to be in Real) and nothing tragic happened to Real.
But of course it's funny that everything is shaping up so that in the end Ronaldo can be the savior of Bayern in the winter.

You have made out a good point. I think buying Cristiano Ronaldo can be a very good option for Bayern Munich. Obviously, Nagelsmann has to change the game plan because otherwise, they are going to keep losing. They are really feeling the need for a prolific striker in the team. I think even though Cristiano Ronaldo is not playing very well in Manchester United, he will be able to perform better in Bayern Munich because they will have a lot more trust in him. Never thought I would be saying this but I think till then they will have to play defensively.

I am sure Bayern will not play like Atlético under any circumstances  Grin And there are no guarantees that Bayern will buy Ronaldo, but in my opinion this probability is high - Nagelsmann is unlikely to be able to dramatically rebuild the team during the season to a different game scheme where a central striker is not needed at all. And even if he can, it's always better to have spare moves.
