Leipzig might be near losing Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea in the near future according to Transfermarkt.

He actually newly signed a contract extension with his team until 2026. However it doesn't seem like that will be enough to stop Chelsea from signing him. I assume that he wouldn't like to refuse a big chance to play in the best league in Europe also. Chelsea are trying to consolidate their squad to be stronger next season. I said "next season" because this transfer isn't planned for January I'm afraid. Actually Nkunku is a really impressive youngster and he is already a very reliable striker for his team.

His last season performance was like 35 goals and 20 assists in 52 games. Now he is on 6 goals and 1 assist by his 11th game already. However I hope that this doesn't become another disappointment coming from Leipzig for Chelsea. Timo Werner was also amazing before coming here but all his great performance was gone later on.
Actually last season extended contract until 2026 need spent much money for Chelsea to sign in Christopher Nkunku, no doubt with Chelsea attacking line most poor this season after leaving by Lukaku and Warner. Not enough with new replacement by Aubameyang because still can't scoring goals until several games with Chelsea. I believe RB Leipzig give offering most expensive values, actually Christopher Nkunku just sign in extended contract with Leipzig last several months ago and seems above 100 million euro is most valuable for bringing him to Stanford Bridge.

No doubt with Christopher Nkunku potential become attacking player for Chelsea and he has brilliant statistic with RB Leipzig from 35 goals, 20 assits in 52 games. Most incredible in this season Christopher Nkunku have scored 4 goals of 7 games with RB Leipzig, I hope Chelsea as soon possible get deal with new attacking player looking on several games in this season faced difficult scoring goals except did by Raheem Sterling as most ever Chelsea player scored goals.
