RIP for the guy. Another death for boxing, another day of mourning. What could be possible changes in boxing to avoid future casualties? Boxing is a sport for the warriors though. These guys know that death is always in play once they enter the ring either for a real fight or a sparring session.
It's quite sad to hear the news and of course the news gives great sadness to world boxing fans, especially Colombia, I didn't see the match in person but seeing the video footage on YouTube was really quite sad, the fight was quite balanced at first but after that it was seen that Luis Quinones is in bad shape because he keeps getting hit in the head, I think more people have died in the boxing ring than in MMA so this shows that boxing that looks safe is actually more risky than MMA that looks brutal, so far we know that boxers focus more on attacks to the head whereas MMA may be more inclined to lock the opponent into surrender and I think that's why boxing is more dangerous because the head is the main target of fighters so it allows concussion or swelling in the brain like what happened in the case of Luis Quinones.
