Looks like a lot of you have got your knickers in a bunch over the suggestion of an airdrop. Just because it has been put up for a vote, does not mean it will be implemented. I'm pretty sure Evan will not go through with it based on the comments coming through. The only people who seem to be in favour have come out of the woodwork to support the idea. I
The only way to make the point clear that something along that line is total bullshit is with your wallet.
Telling everyone to simply move along is belittling the situation, and I won't have it.
I've decided to speak with my wallet, and will be staying away until he stops cutting out 10% of the coin every other fucking week.
Instamine, Hacked exchange, reduction from 80million to 20million, 10% of mining goes to node fees, darksend nodes require 1000 fucking dark (which in my eyes is a blatant attempt to force us to buy more with the incentive of 10% of the mining, why not start at 100 until the coin is a bit further along?), and now even
mentioning a 10% airdrop? Fuck that.
I've stayed quiet on a lot of it, but with this I'm done. Anonymity isn't worth is. Clearly the guy's a great programmer, but lacks as an economist.
As far as I know the hacked exchange has nothing to do with the developers of darkcoin.
The reduction from 80 to 20 million is good news if you're planning on holding, especially with the block rewards reducing 7% annually.
I think rewarding the master nodes is a great idea to be honest. I don't think miners are the only ones who should rewarded, after all I've seen a few houlier than thou comments from miners regarding traders but miners are just as likely to be dumpers (not just of DRK). Rewarding the master nodes compensates anyone who is willing to
DRK.
I agree with you that 1000 DRK is probably too high a requirement for master nodes.
