Same here being a small gambler the prices in pre-sale were also too much for me in V1 rollbots at $500 and even if I have it was too hard to get them because they just sold out within few seconds and then public sale was for $1k so you see there was rush of people trying to grab it knowing the benefits they will have.
I'm not completely aware about their NFTs but can you sell those rollbots on secondary market like opensea after their public sale? If so, I'm pretty sure most of the buyers are just flippers. They are not after the benefits of using that nft but instead their goal is to make profit from those who didn't have the chance to buy. They will probably sell it more than double of its price and someone will still buy it. Even if you have the budget, you would be lucky if you'll be able to get one because there are some that uses bot scripts to quickly buy when the sale has started.
