In the wake of the infamous Green and Poole incident, it is encouraging to see Poole back in action against the Lakers. But to be honest it was only one punch. I knew right away that Green was going to suffer a lot because of this. It is clear that Poole's game is improving as time goes on.
The match between the Lakers and the Warriors was a good one. The performance from Poole was really good. While Anthony Davis played a stellar game for the Lakers. We are watching some entertaining pre-season matches at the moment. This makes me wonder how fun the actual season is going to be this time.
Injury prevention is one of the most critical things for the Lakers. They will likely be able to go far this season if they are able to avoid injuries.
Green hasn't been a great player for a long time now. I mean he was good by 2016 but since then he hasn't been as good as he used to be, those days when he had little points but a lot of rebounds and assists and played amazing on defence are long gone, he is bad at almost everything.
One thing was him being a good vocal leader of the team, Curry was never the leader type, he just wanted to have fun, and Green took care of that for him, but with this move I think he showed that he can't lead anyone anymore neither. Which is why I doubt that he would be getting a good deal, he will probably get a bad deal and would be forced to either take it, or reject and realize no other team would offer something bigger in the hard way.
