what has been surprising this season is Udinese's performance. they performed better than last season. For Lazio they have been in the Europa League for several seasons but it seems that this season if they continue their current positive trend it is not impossible that they will be in the top 4 at the end of the season but indeed sometimes things like this are obviously still unpredictable for Serie A especially after the mid-season.
