Just like what happened with DeMarcus Cousins. Injuries after injury made him less valuable and even today he is having a hard time finding a team.
One of the worst things that happened in a player's history regarding the possibility of getting a good contract.
That year, I remember that he was already expecting a max contract in the off-season not just with the New Orleans Pelicans but on other teams as well. Unfortunately, the injury came and from there, he didn't have a chance now to taste a very good contract until his value depreciate up to this point.
I hope the Denver Nuggets can give him another shot even for 1-year basis.
As long as he remained healthy, he can still be a good asset coming off the bench.
He can be a great addition to the team, and that is proven because we've seen him already in the past playoffs his contribution was really valuable. I can't discount his will to contribute to the team, if only the coaching staff will give him enough playing time, he can give more help the team to win.
Fingers crossed my brothers. He proved himself well at that run with the Denver Nuggets, especially at the time when he was given more than 20 minutes of playtime.
Even until now, I am confused with why he is not signed yet. He trimmed his body weight, he can shoot threes from Warriors to Nuggets.
All he need is a contract.
I bet he is willing to take even a veterans contact just to show his skills again and how he is getting better after every season.
I have a speculation that maybe because of his attitude, team are not willing to give him at least 1 year to proved his worth in the NBA. But damn, during his prime, DeMarcus Cousins was beast and he was really huge that it's hard to stop him because of him being versatile, inside and out. And we thought that he can achieved success with the Warriors as well, but it was too bad that after he joined, some members too, got injured.
If he gets a reasonable chance he will be really eager to show why he is the best. However, the problem is that he often gets injured in the process.
Having a player like that can be a serious problem for any team as well as for his career too. In order for him to prove himself to a team, he will have to play a better game if they give him a chance. He can easily get injured while trying to play better. As a result, I cannot really blame anyone for what happened. Injuries are quite unfortunate for any player. It is also my hope that the Denver Nuggets will give him another chance.
@Dave1, I think attitude is ok, having said that, he is 32 years old and, to be honest, it is easy for him to get injured because of his age. Therefore, I highly doubt that the Denver Nuggets will give him a second chance.
