This is my guess and it is based on the subtle wording that Guardiola gives in interviews when asked about the future.
As for dominance in the Premier League, for us ordinary fans it looks like a cool achievement, but the sheikhs are ambitious guys. They created literally the most expensive club in the world but have not been able to get the main trophy for so many years. Do you really think that their patience is endless?
It seems to me that they do not care about statuses, reputation, etc. the most important thing is the result, at the moment it is not there and if it is not after the purchase of Haaland, then Guardiola will be fired.
Speculation about the future of Guardianola in Man City seems to arise because of Man City's draw with Copenhagen in the UCL and Man City's defeat against Liverpool. I personally see that this is a normal thing because so far Man City's achievements at UCL are still good. we have to give guardianola another chance to prove himself capable of giving the UCL trophy to man city. Guardiola will have a long future at man city.
i don't think we will see Guardiola leaving Man city without winning the champions league, he probably is staying there for that reason, and i'd guess and say that even if they don't win it this season, he won't leave, probably Man City managers won't let him go too.
So, how long you will be waiting for city to win the champion league? Last year this club was loosing against chelsea. Chelsea has been getting champion league again. Just because it has haaland and it doesn't mean if it can win champion league. Pep has become a coach for city since a few years ago and so far it never won champion league. Will you wait for another decade again to see him goes to the final and then lose again? I personally think if he was not capable enough to become a coach for city and he must be replaced. yeah city was winning EPL but you must remember if champion league is the most important league.
