It wouldn't be fair to blame Lewandowski entirely for the team's performance, it is a team game and when the team is not playing well you have to blame the entire team for it not just singling out one player to put blames on probably because he forced a move away from the club when he was needed. I believe he has that choice as every other player and has his reason so let’s be fair in our judgements if we must judge.

We should also admit that Benzema did have a very big contribution to Real Madrid last season, whereas at first many doubted Real Madrid in the Champions League but Benzema was able to provide high achievements for Real Madrid. Therefore, Benzema deserves to win the Ballon d'Or and I think there is nothing to argue about because no other player has contributed as much as Benzema last season.
Moreover, Benzema is not young anymore but Banzema is still playing very well and indeed, Lewandowski is also old and was able to make a good contribution to Bayern Munich last season. But yes, Lewandowski cannot give more and higher titles like the Champions League to Bayern Munich so his assessment is still not enough to get him to win the Ballon d'Or.
