Yesterday match between Barcelone and Villarreal was so interesting since the whole three goals were scored in 7 minutes and then nothing happened interesting, xavi could calm things out with fans since they all are asking him to step out of the lead of Barcelone since the last match against inter milan which complicated things for accessing the next stage in champions league, this win is just made Barcelone behind Real Madrid with 3 points as difference. I hope to see more confidence being gained by xavi and the fans with much better results in the next matches to come
Barcelona played really well against Villarreal. But my personal hope is that Barcelona will be as strong as the 2014 team. The best club at the time was Barcelona, and watching them play was soothing. Also their tiki taka was absolutely amazing. Although I know that these things are not possible now, I hope that Barcelona will be the best again.
The performance of Barcelona yesterday was superb because they dominated Villarreal in everything making it difficult for them to have control of the ball from the start of the game till full-time and this could be seen in their shots on target Villarreal had a single shots on target, no corner record for team but for Barcelona, they had 70% possession of the ball against 30 and they had 8 corners and 5 shots on target so I think they were better last night. I don't think Barcelona will as strong as they were before like in 2014 as you talked about because then they had quality players that are above average and their playing tactics and zeal to win matches is far different from what we see from the players now, secondly I think Barcelona needs to move from building the team in one player's shoulders if they want to get better this is because during the time of Messi the team depended so much on him but since he left it has affected the team so I think Xavi needs to build his team away from Lewandoski so that each player can be a goal getter for him.
