Don't forget, Benzema scored 3 goals, but only one counts. In minute 6 and minute 60 both goals were disallowed for offside... Beznema maybe despaired. But in the 75 minute his goal counts. It was a game of the best against the worst in the league and that 3-0 is okay... there are 3 points and the next game on 22.10. vs FC Sevilla becomes difficult.
I don't even know if VAR technology makes winning in football easier or more difficult. Imagine 3 goals disallowed? I can only imagine how frustrated Benzema would have felt. I felt really happy when, through sheer persistence, Benzema found the back of the net this time and sort of made a mockery of the VAR. In sum, I believe that the VAR helps weak teams with porous defence.
The role of Var in football as the third eye of the referee, when the referee is in doubt about everything that happens on the pitch, Var will prove the truth. Before the Var technology in football, there were so many controversial decisions that occurred, the referee only realized his decision was wrong when he saw replays on television.
Var has given justice to the aggrieved team, if there is no Var when Madrid beat Elche, maybe Elche's players will appeal and the match will be chaotic over the referee's decision to approve the goal that should have been disallowed.
Honestly nothing in this world is perfect, the VAR technology has had positive impact in football, gone are the times when people score goals with their hands, dive in the eighteen yard box to get penalties and the ref will give them because he couldn't get a clear view from the angle he is standing and we have seen a lot of situations where wrong calls were been corrected and goals cancelled for foul play so it is a really good development with the VAR system.
