If Bitcoin was not created then the would not be as active as it is today. Since its inception, Bitcoin has made a revolutionary change in the finance world. Because of its decentralized system people started to believe in themselves and started investing in this digital world  of currency, where users are the owners. Bitcoin has made people to interact in many ways, as we know there have been number of groups, communities, forums, and what not, where each individual can interact with other and is capable to share his or her ideas and thoughts without hesitation. If Bitcoin was not created then there would not be formation of these communities. The major drawback would be the freedom of individual could have been withdrawn.
