In my view Ecuador has virtually no chance of qualifying for the next round. The Netherlands is of course the strongest team in the A group, but Senegal can also come pretty close. For example, they have Mane in the ranks, but there are still a number of strong players who play in the Serie A. Qatar may be the weakest country on paper, but it might surprise you because of the high ambition and the extremely fanatical footballers who have worked here for years and usually do not play in major competitions and/or tournaments.
Apparently, Ecuador will have to work hard if they want to qualify for the next round. at least, they must subvert the host first in the opening match. if they have it, Ecuador will just need to move on to the next step to overthrow Senegal.
however, it seems that the scenario will be difficult to realize. the thing is, Senegal is a tough team and they are ranked 18th in FiFA and Ecudor are ranked 44th in FIFA. apparently, Ecuador's chances are very small in this championship.
as was the case with the hosts, Qatar. the only thing that is their advantage is, Qatar plays as the host with the atmosphere of support flowing heavily from the Qatari public itself.
however, in football anything can happen during the game. for sure, both Ecuador and Qatar will play as much as possible and work hard in their fight later.
