Never has history about national team success become the winner of World Cup in a row after several edition time always have different national team become the winner, lets feedback at 2002 Brazil become the champion and next time edition Italy success become the winner. Four years later at 2010 have new champion of World Cup Spain. Edition on 2014 Germany success become the winner and last four years ago France success win after beating Croatia at the final.
No doubt with France player composition, but I am believing with myth never have the same national team success win World Cup in a row, seems have another national team get the winner in this edition except France.
Between 1930 and 2018, Italy in 1934 & 1938 and Brazil in 1958 & 1962 have been the only nations to win back-to-back FIFA World Cups. Argentina defeated West Germany in the 1986 World Cup Final but the Germans turned the tables when the two sides met in the final of Italia '90.
Some fun facts about World Cups! Definitely, it's hard for any national team to achieve this, but why not? As you can see 60 years passed since the last time, in 1986/1990 Argentina was very close.
I checked the odds and the favorites from Group A are Netherlands, followed by Ecuador and Qatar. Senegal is at the 4th position, which is surprising considering their current form. All four teams are quite capable of staging a few upsets. And among them, I would rate Netherlands and Ecuador as the favorites. The battle for topping the group will be between these two teams. But then, you can't discount the chances of the other two teams as well. Senegal is in exceptional form recently, and Qatar enjoys the home advantage.
I was looking at the odds for matches, on Qatar wins it's over 3.5 and for Ecuador and Senegal around 2. A draw is over 3 for both games. I also think that Netherlands and Ecuador are favorites in this group, but we can't rule out some surprises, and I guess both Qatar and Senegal can make surprise us.
