I'm still shocked with the result from the Liverpool game against Nottingham, how Nottingham Forest managed to hold Liverpool down to a clean sheet is still a wonder to me. This is the height of the poor performances for Liverpool this season I don't think it can get any worse than this. Klopp really needs to do some work to improve the team, even if it requires making big money signings it has to be done to revive the team's confidence.
In the match, the team that was actually effective in the second half was Liverpool. Leeds defended well and did not allow a goal. They also managed to win the match when they scored with a counter attack. Liverpool defender made a big mistake in the first goal scored by Leeds and they gave the goal as a gift.
There are times when you need luck to win a game. As Liverpool's structure isn't solid, sometimes I feel that it's too easy to beat them. It must happen. It was Nottingham that abandoned them in the Forest, and then Leeds that dragged them deeper into the woods. Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier saved nine goals against Liverpool. This goalkeeper deserves respect.
Meslier was undoubtedly the best of his team. In the second half, Liverpool had a lot of chances, but they were always stuck with Meslier. Salah, Nunez could not score the second goal. Meslier made an incredible defense for his team. If he continues to play like this, it is very likely that he will be transferred to a bigger team in a few years. We have to say that Leeds United have not beaten Liverpool since 2001. Of course, every success has an end.
