You do not really tell us how big is the amount of money we are talking about, but if it is something like one million dollars probably the very first thing I would do is to buy several houses and then begin to rent them, that way I will always have a source of income and as real estate follows inflation then I know my investment will do fine during the next years.

After that most likely I will invest the rest of the money in bitcoin and I will probably only spend 1% of that money on stuff that I want, so I am probably on the boring side when it comes to deciding what to do with that money but that is just the way I am.
