Actually instead of saying Manchester United I prefer Arsenal's performance to representatives from England, they have really done really well this season, not only in the EPL but in the Europa League too they are quite stable because only one loss in the second meeting against PSV made them comfortable at the top.
Manchester United still have to play off now to make sure.

If we refer to what Arsenal have shown this season in every game, obviously Arsenal's probability is higher than Manchester United. in fact, previously United had to stumble at the beginning of the season and the beginning of this competition. their game pattern is really messy, but gradually the strategy scheme applied by Ten Hag starts to seem to work as it should, directed, the bonding between players looks even better so far.
it's just that the attackers they have lacked sharpness, as well as Ronaldo who didn't really contribute much in terms of scoring goals for his team.

Next, I am optimistic that Manchester United will be stronger and more consistent when playing their matches later. it's just that for now, the hope of winning this competition seems difficult for them. what's more now they have a playoff match against the team that got knocked out of the champions league.
Of course, this is a tough challenge for the Red Devils team as well as Erik Ten Hag.
It's a big challenge for Ten Hag in this case, especially seeing the condition of the team that is out of the Champions League at this time can be said to be quite difficult because it is filled by several big teams considering that Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax and several other clubs now definitely want to take part in Europa League especially in this case Barcelona.
Ten Hag at the moment for his first season is good enough but to be consistent he still needs time to remember like you said. Manchester United is still very messy even though it is starting to improve when compared to last season.
