I got this notification not long ago, but I just cancelled it, I didn't do anything to it, I think your friend must have done something else that warrant this, just this notification isn't enough to cause funds disappearance, I suggest you ask him more question about this
I had $11 worth if coin on Trustwallet which I used to do some testing and forgot it there until today. After I saw this thread, the exact notification popped out on my phone and I clicked on it, it took me to Trustwallet. I saw nothing than my $11 coins. I will keep on checking to know if the coin will disappear or not.
