Very good points. Gridcoin is a very complicated project and I am surprised at how much it has grown and how much work we have put down so far on the Boinc network. Imagine if the rest of the crypto community gets on-board we will make international headline news in no time.

I think we need to ask coindesk to do an article on Gridcoin.

posted GRC summary information to http://coinwiki.info/en/Gridcoin

curecoin has a running testnet, which seems about to go public.
Most participants there haven't even haerd of Gridcoin yet.
maybe we can make them aware of us?

I've reached out to their subreddit http://www.reddit.com/r/curecoin/comments/21cy9q/rgridcoin_declares_a_reddit_boinc_leaderboard_race/

I've reached out to /r/einsteinium since they're a 'scientific' cryptocurrency and have got them to add us on their sidebar.

great move! Smiley

If we all get active on the subreddit we can really start reaching out to people.
Once we get 200 suscribers, we can get added to /r/cryptocurrency - a subreddit with 50k suscribers; this will definetley improve our numbers!
Once the cpu mining features have returned i think that would be wise.
Doing so before then could just publicize a rough patch in development.

There is no such thing as bad publicity.  I think this is an opportunity to prove that development is moving forward and that new features and better security are always on the way.  Promotion is the only way to adoption and I am more than willing to help.  Transparency is lacking in the crypto space and investors love transparency.  Gridcoin is a great idea and that has had some growing pains because it is something different.  Most litecoin knockoffs just change a few lines of code and many don't even bother to make a custom wallet, Gridcoin is different and these improvements take time.  Miners and investors will get behind something if they know it has future plans and development.  Its like getting behind a startup, they may be losing money but if they have an idea that could change the world and they promote that idea investors line up around the block.
