In addition, there is already a thread in the Meta where DdmrDdmr regularly reports on all participants who are close to increasing their rank. All participants publishing here their statements about insufficient merits really look like beggars because the forum has long known everyone who may really need a few merits to increase in rank as soon as possible.

I'm not mad at those posting their goal that are miles away, but it does look bad for them. Then we open their profile and look to help but cannot find any post worth meriting. That's why I said in my previous post that I am more apt to help those that have put in the work as they have at least tried.
I like helping people but you gotta make me want to help you guys. Don't post that you're 100 merits away and when I open your profile it's all bounty posts or something crazy like that.
