We’re in the gambling business, but we’d never gamble with our user’s funds.

Deposit, play and withdraw instantly. That’s what we stand for.

The events that have taken place the past week in the crypto space should serve as yet another reminder to take control of your crypto.

Are you referring to the email exploit at Stake.com or the bankrupt Exchange (FTX) ..#Stunna?

If I understand deposits at a casino correctly.... it goes into a casinos internal database and some of those funds goes into the casinos hot and cold wallets. (So users lose control over their coins/tokens... the moment when it is deposited into a casino or some other custodial service... right?)

I do not use centralized exchanges to store my coins, because I want to have sole access to my Private keys (giving me full control) ...but I relinquish that control, when I deposit it into a casino.

Even if you VAULT your coins/tokens... it can be accessed if you login details were phished. I would suggest that a second password be implemented for access to the VAULT ...so that you cannot lose all your coins ..in a single phishing attack.

I used 2FA to give me some protection .....but some skilled hacker, will soon combine these attacks ..with Sim swap techniques to bypass that too.  Huh
The vault feature shouldn't be considered as a real vault IMO, it's just a protection to avoid losing all your funds from a missclick/fat finger or because you've fleetingly lost the consciousness of the amounts you are gambling. But if the casino accuses you of money laundering, cheat, "abuse" or other BS things, or if they undergo a big hacking, your funds won't be able to to be withdrawn anymore even if they have been put in this vault. It's more a vault against yourself than a vault against robbers I would say. The only safe vault is the one you have the key.

stake asks for proof of income for customer verification as i see from their verification page. are you people seriously providing it to a random casino?
Yes it's a shame. Fortunately decentralized casinos and sportsbooks are coming. And it will be hard for custodial casinos to compete with them if they still ask this kind of BS requirements.
