The level of the Europa League has increased a lot after the teams from the Champions League have come here. It has got close to the Champions League I mean. There are really powerful teams in this round already. The number of favourites for the Europa League title has also increased quite much.
For now just as they are my favourite, Arsenal are the biggest title contender according to bookmakers. Barcelona and Manchester United follow respectively. I'd like to see Barcelona eliminating the Red Devils. And a finale like Arsenal - Barcelona would be amazing.
So many big teams have been performing so bad during the last season. that's why the are all placed in the europa league and the only best team from last season that would be able to enter in the champion league. In my opinion there was no a big change in the europa league, the only thing that has become the main concern must be about more big team from champion league was coming to the europa league as they were not able to go to the last 16 caused by they got eliminated by having the worst performance.
There's no need to call the level of europa league become even better caused by it's always the same in any season.
Making the leagues go into three is a very smart decision and adding conference meant that there could be a lot better teams in UCL, in the long run this will allow great teams like Barcelona who failed at UCL and got here to not really feel ashamed but try to win something. More and more teams will see a great deal of achievement sense on Europa because there is a lower level, so europa is still better than something.
It will take time with some of the rules but I see that we are already at huge clubs putting their hat in the ring for Europa this year, meaning it is going to be very tough matches all around and will have a lot of for all of us.
