Mempool size is a node configuration. Some nodes may set higher limite
It doesn't mean much for bitcoin. You might need to rebroadcast your transaction if it is out of the 300mb mempool.
If you are making a new transaction now and mempool is full, just send I'm a higher fee and you will get ahead other transactions.
