Anyone who is surprised knc will not be shipping until June has not been reading the writing on the walls, e.g. this from last DECEMBER:

Q2 begins in 3 months, 2 weeks.... not seven months... and the ststement said q1/q2, so could be sooner.
KNC have shipped *everything* late. Even, somehow, boards they had in stock  Grin So they have a 100% track record of delivering late. That's what I base my numbers on - what they have done over and over again - 100% of the time.

They say Q2, it could easily mean "first weeks in Q3". That's totally consistent with what they have done 100% of the time so far. If you think they will suddenly change that, when going out into uncharted water's with 20nm, you are welcome to delude yourself into believing that. It's much more realistic to look at what a company have done 100% of the time to work out how they will perform in the future.

I'm pretty confident they will not ship in June either, if you want my *opinion*.

i don't have an opinion, all I have is official data that tells me they won't ship in June.
Yes yes, the top secret info that spongebob-tech or whatever gave you a glimpse of.

t'wisnae them; came direct from tsmc. so while the majority were singing global foundries - i quoted tsmc mask times. and lo and behold, knc confirmed it today in that news-thingymajigger. dunno, maybe they let it slip before now but i was just as surprised to find out tsmc were doing the baking.

hmm yummy easter cakes for christmas.

ADD: it was a no brainer, all i needed to do was advise tsmc that I was looking to provide them with a contract for chips and they sent me the datasheet for bake times. why do you think it was...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83Y2hv-3UCM ??
