Shadab is still a newborn in the test but at home, he could be a good asset but I am more surprised by the exclusion of Fawad Alam. Pakistani selectors and politics ruined his Test career.
This guy broke all the doors back in 2009 and they neglected him despite the fact that their batting lineup was embarrassing af throughout the last decade.
I am also surprised with this decision because surely he deserves a spot in this team but sadly due to age factor and inner politics in PCS prevented him from his spot into final test squad against England with this team look like England could be favourite and have fair chance to win this series because things are looking not good for them specially after losing against Australia in last series they have to bring players on merit instead of going with personal likes and dislikes which are never been ideal for any team Shaheen is out for long time and Haris Rauf is also not available so with this look like we are going to have spin wickets which will help batting lineup and spinners which is never been entertaining for fans.
Call it hard luck, if he was from another country so he could've become the premier test batsman.
Anyway batting line-up is not that bad for Pak team and looks like the best choice for the home series. The problem might come in the bowling department if pitches are dead, in absence of Shaheen bowling looks very inexperienced to me. Harish Rauf is in the Test squad but he's untested in international Test cricket and hardly plays 4 days cricket in domestic, same with Wasim JR, both could debut tho. Naseem Shah is a good white ball bowler but so far he didn't impress me in Red ball cricket, except his pace. Virtually no hope from spin department as there is no Yasir ali (exact opposite could happen too cause its pak)and Nauman chacha is new meme content, might get a bag of wickets in one spell or give tons of runs.
Looking at the squad, i guess PCB might offer fast wickets as they have 3 good fast bowlers they are inexperienced but sometimes it helps as new guys hardly carry any baggage.
