USA is the blue-eyed boy of the ICC. Every year the ICC showers the USACA with millions of USD in funds, hoping that one day they will get some returns out of it. And the USACA uses this money to attract former players from West Indies and South Africa to play for their "national" team. The ICC even provided automatic qualification for the United States for the next edition of the T20 world cup. And despite all the dramatics, the popularity of cricket within the US has remained confined to the expat population. The natives have baseball, and they are not interested in cricket.
Here I agreed with you about this all but in the USA we have big communities from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and few other cricket loving countries which can help in this case and this game can go on good way even it's not easy, but ICC is investing in this market which is surely good for this region specially while we are losing grounds in West Indies and most chances in next few years we will be on decline due to conflict between players and WICB which is doing no positive development for the game and having increase their talent base and bring back some better things for this game.
Natives are surely not take this all easily because they already have strong based in Baseball, Football and Basketball which is doing amazing progress and having very strong grassroots in this all region.
