I was listening to a YouTube video by a famous business man and he was saying that he prefers to hire employees who are smarter than him. Do you agree with this style of working? What are the possible intentions behind doing this? Isn't their fear that these smart employees can steal ideas from office or get client details and then start their own companies? What is your view regarding this?
There are many different types of business. If your business is a design bureau, then your employees are highly qualified specialists with two higher educations.
This is exactly the case when the company's employees are smarter than the founder of the company. However, another option is possible when your business involves the massive use of cheap labor. In this case, you expect diligence and discipline from the performer, and not outstanding intellectual abilities. A highly intelligent employee is not dangerous for your business. For your business, an employee with pronounced entrepreneurial abilities can be dangerous.
It is these people who usually take customers away from the company and copy its business processes (creating their own companies).
