And when the redesign come out I also no too reason even if e Dey obvious that nothing much was done on the design but Wetin Dey mad me be the amount of money them claim say them use to run the redesign mata.
Please how much did the government say was spent on the project because I have searched the internet and I haven't seen a specific price that they claimed was used for this new currency redesigning. The news i only saw was that there is no official amount stated yet as what was used for the project , hence i dey surprised were you hear or see amount from wey you say wan mad you. Share link for us make we see where you get your information from.
According to Sowore and this link https://www.channelstv.com/2022/11/23/funds-for-naira-redesign-should-have-been-given-to-asuu-sowore/, that na the amount wey we govt troway to take "redesign" we naira. The man dey yarn say instead of we govt to take the money do beta tin like settle ASUU, see wetin dem carry am do. Since I no get valid source to found my belief, I no fit accuse anybody. But e dey do me like say them corner side some of these funds so dem fit use hold body for the election period.
Abeg makes we put politics aside, the naira redesigning no be to change anything but to target two things which are, eliminating stolen and store away naira notes by corrupt politicians and other financial criminals and the second is to give our currency a new facelift in form of renovation. Forget how much is spent in doing this and let no politician called activists like Sowore confused they are the same set of people who contributed largely to bringing Nigeria to bad economic stste we are today don't let them confuse you I don't take any of them seriously anymore but the bottom line is that the naira rebranding is a very big welcome development let keep politics aside, if you leave in the northern part of Nigeria you will know the level of our naira note degradation and need for a facelift and even Nigeria is not the first country to do so even the US dollar is frequently redesigned and new notes are printed at regular interval.
