At the course of our discussion he told me everything he planned to achieve this 2022 with gambling money. And to my greatest surprise he has already achieved more than 80% of his plans.
I was surprised how someone will plan with money he is not sure of.
Let's discuss, does anyone here plan with gambling money yet to be won?
The short answer is No, I am not planning with any money that I haven' won yet. This sounds a bit too unrealistic for my situation, because gambling is no reliable source of income. When it comes to my gambling experiences I usually have a good or bad evening, there isn't much between. So it's hard to plan ahead when profit can be big one day and negative the next. In my opinion there is a difference between planning and budgeting gambling money. Budgeting means that we already have fixed amount in mind that we rely on in the future. For that gambling income seems wrong. What if we lose the money we gamble with or are facing a losing streak? It puts our back against the wall if we rely one a profit in the future that is not certain. This could also make us take more risks that we really want to, only to have the chance of making the profit we need. Taking more risks also means we increase the chance of us losing more money. Planning on the other hand is more with uncertainty, it seems more appropriate for gambling profits. When it comes to planning I would say it's more like a "what if?" scenario. If I ever win a big jackpot, than I would use that money to pay back my loan for example. This is of course not likely to happen very soon and more a general plan in case I get lucky one day.
