Relly? You get better result with -g 1?
On 6770 I use -g 10 -w 256, that gives me ~20% more speed compared with -g 4 -w 64 and ~30% more compared to -g 1 -w 64. I suggest you to try that too...
Maybe it's related to HD6xxx architecture.
On HD7950 and R9 280x -g 1 give me the best perfs.
R9 280x @ 1200MHz, -I 20 :
-g 1 : 7.6MHs
-g 2 : 5.5Mhs
-g 10 : 6.2Mhs
Same thing on HD7950 : best perfs with -g 1
But, HD7850 have a little more perfs with -g 10 instead of other settings : (10%)
