On a faithful day I received a call from my childhood friend in school those days that told me to quit the delivery job i was doing, that the money is too small for me to plan well for my future which I did by resigned from the company.
I don't see any reason why you quit your job to focus on bitcoin investment which does not require your full time. Still working your regular job while investing in bitcoin can still be very profitable and even so ensure that you do not concern yourself much with the market fluctuations which can aid your decision to hodl. He just found a reason to become lazy. No offense but many people use the same kind of reason to skip jobs and enjoy moments of being idle.
I need clarification about your job quitting fact. Also, you did not trade bitcoin. You just invested and waited for the price to go up. I don't see any inspiration here for quitting the job, though bitcoin or crypto changed the lives of many of us but not in your way.
Many here say that you came into bitcoin because you saw profitability, not decentralization or anything, but most people came for that profit, not knowing everything. It takes time to learn about other things about crypto.

I see nothing wrong with the OP leaving his old job in search of a better opportunity and I believe many will do the same.
If bitcoin can bring me a decent amount of money, I will quit my old job and find myself a better new one. I will use the profits earned from bitcoin to open a business or maybe look for other investment channels to diversify my portfolio and increase my income.
True it is not for us to judge if OP's decision is wrong or not. What matter is the result and since he got a good result, no one can refute that his decision is wrong. But still I can't convince myself to stop thinking about OP making his Bitcoin investment to set himself free from all the job work and rely to his parents for sustenance. What a wonderful life indeed
