I won't blame him if he decides to retire and take that deal because there's so much negativity around him now that he's begining to lose the respect he was once getting and it begins to look like Messi is a better player since he's only receiving accolades most recently. If were in the shoes of Ronaldo and somehow I was able to lead Portugal to the world cup finals and win it then I'm retiring immediately to avoid further embarrassment to spoil my career. It's always good when you end your career on the high note, you'll be respected more that way.

Players like Ronaldo at this stage of his career are supposed to be enjoying the benefits of playing in teams that all areas of the pitch can be handled by the players playing in that position and all he does is come in mostly second half to score additional goals or score late minute winners and not carrying the team on his shoulder in every games.
