I think the answer is simple for this. The right manager for Chelsea has always been Thomas Tuchel. Just because of not meeting some criteria of the board Tuchel was sacked. It wasn't for only the bad start to the season in fact. You can't expect any manager to be too consistent every time in the end. Tuchel achieved great successes with Chelsea as you said. He had a bad start in this one maybe but he could have made things right for the team if he was given a little more time. The fans must also be unhappy about this change now.
Tuchel's situation was similar to Klopp. Klopp is also facing bad times with Liverpool in the league this season despite playing solidly in the Champions League. But Liverpool board must be trusting him fully for the sake of his great achievements with the team so far.
Tuchel would have been the best coach for Chelsea but they missed him by sacking him. Chelsea does not have patience , they are always too fast to sack their coach .
