I think it is between Messi and Mbappe to become the best player in this world cup but Messi is not performing like he is in the youth and Mbappe is still very young to go for it with support of the team mate. Some players score today to still make move in the highest scorer spot. Richarlison of Brazil now in 3 goals scoring on 4-1 victory against South Korea. The numbers to compete will increase when it is in semi finals.
This is a good standing between Messi and Mbappe, we cannot deny that Messi is still performing good despite of his age and its also good to see the younger generation with Mbappe and for sure he can still score more as the world cup is far from its end. Lets see if other players will also enter the top list, as we can see anything can happen and there might be big changes as they start to play in the next round.

Though I am looking forward to the next match which is between Argentina and Netherlands on the 9th of December, hopefully he will put more goals behind those bars..
He is one of the best players and I personally love him and his style of play, and when I saw this topic, I knew that there was no way he wouldnt make the list, I am hoping he comes out top in the end.
