My expectation of cryptocurrency in general and btc in particular is - it will continue to exist despite the economic instability the whole world is currently passing through. Particularly btc which is the backbone of every other crypto in the market will always stay strong, there is no other asset like btc so why won't it survive. This type of question mostly comes up during the bear season, and the answer is always the same, btc will be fine, i can't say much about the alts because most of those projects are based on a false foundation that will eventually collapse someday.
So btc should always be the main option and most importantly, have a long term goal for a proper reward.
Expectations will always be there for Bitcoin especially for long term. Many are hoping that Bitcoin can finally reverse its current trend and go back to the bull market, many are expecting this to happen early next year. Other altcoins will surely follow and that is Bitcoin leads the whole market. BTC should really be the best option for long term, but its advisable to diversify so its good as well to have some altcoins.
Even if this s true we still nee to be careful, when it comes to the markets our timing is really important, while investing in bitcoin is a good idea some traders may then think that it is a good idea to invest in altcoins as well, but this is not correct, there are many altcoins which have yet to disappear during this bear market, so it is important to stay away from them and only invest in them if the bull run is already underway.
Big number of altcoins are getting delisted from Exchanges regularly. We need to be careful handling altcoin investment. Whenever we invest, we make the mistake of expecting the profit within specific time period. We don't have the patience and this mostly lands people into altcoins that pump and dump. It is always good to invest on bitcoin and be cautious with altcoins that are down to the top list. Even the top list could fail, one such example is the FTX and Luna Terra.
