I think that Inter will be able to finish the season in the top 4. In Lazio, as in many teams where Sarri was the head coach, there will be a recession, and for the Europa League the main struggle will be between Roma, Atalanta and Lazio. Juventus will try to get closer to Napoli, while Milan and Inter will share 3rd and 4th places. It seems to me that such scenario is more likely.
Top 4 is not a difficult task for Inter Milan if they are able to keep improving. They only have 3 points difference from AC Milan which is now in 2nd place, have 1 point difference from Juventus which is ranked 3rd and there is no gap with Lazio which is only superior in productivity to Inter Milan.
With the performance they have shown lately I believe they will be able to break back into the top 4 positions in order to win a ticket in the Champions League. And actually they still have a chance to compete for the title if Napoli throw away a lot of points.
I would honestly say that the top 4 position is not very hard for any of the teams that are in the top seven positions right now. Almost all of them have the capability of finishing in the top four. And another thing is sometimes the top teams in that Italian league can be really inconsistent. And the others can take advantage of that. So nothing is certain in this league unless it is mathematically impossible.
I am expecting an improvement from Inter Milan because they have not played as well as they should. If I remember correctly, they performed better in the last season. AC Milan should also perform more consistently because they are the defending champion and they should be able to give good fighting to anyone challenging their title. Which they are not doing right now.
